I like polls...In this one, i voted for Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Amazing group... every time i listen to them, it makes an impression to me, what they can do only with three instruments. Besides, they were the first group in history that played with a full symphonic orchestra on a live concert.

I agree, leaving out Genesis from this poll is a sin of omission if ever there was one...probably my second favorite of the first generation proggers behind the almighty Crimson...

I agree that Genesis, and Spock's Beard are glaring omissions.....but to me the even WORSE crime is leaving out Kansas!

One of my all-time Favorite BANDS, let alone Prog. Bands! And I don't wann here any of this, "oh they're not really prog," crap either! I hate that!

Miracles Out of Nowhere, Paradox, Icarus, No One Together, Lamplight Symphony, Devil Game, Cheyenne Anthem....MAN, the list goes on!

this disgusts me, appalls me (I hope thats how you spell it), just infuriates me. A Symphony X board with Symphony X not even LISTED or mentioned even. Well mine is Symphony X all the way. I dont even know if I would consider Pink Floyd progresseve anyway.
