your favourite bass vsti?

I don't own a bass and ghetto bass sounds like shit to my ears. what is your favourite bass vsti? and I'm on a budget, so nothing too $$$$ please!

My favorite bass method is tuning my 7 lower than normally, then additionally pitchshifting it few semitones lower with the highest possible quality algo in REAPER.

It worth to mention that Mutant's prefered method for ANYTHING involves Reaper (cooking, fishing, folk dance practicing, masturbating...)

Now seriously, there's spectrasonics Trilian (which sounds okayish) and... That's about it. Everything else is shit.

The best method is using a real bass but that's another story.

What about Prominy SR5 ?

Trilian and Prominy SR5. The latter giving some really natural sounding transitions and rock/metal bass lines in general, and fast 8ths and 16ths (judging from the demo). Certainly worth a shot, especially at a price they are offering it.

I'll go with Spectrasonics Trilian. Really never messed with anything else that held my attention like Trilian. Then again, it's probably just as economic and more rewarding to buy a bass for that price. It's a win-win!
