DRAWINGS of The Simpsons characters engaging in sexual acts with one another have resulted in a Sydney man being convicted on child pornography charges.
In the NSW Supreme Court yesterday, judge Michael Adams upheld a decision to convict Alan John McEwan for possessing child pornography after determining that a fictional cartoon character could be considered to "depict a person" under state and commonwealth law.
Justice Adams ruled the word "person" included imaginary or fictional characters and that an unrealistic representation of a figure did not preclude that figure from being a "person".
McEwan was convicted of possessing child pornography and using his computer to access child pornography in February after his computer was found to contain pictures of Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson having sex with one another.
The male figures in the cartoons had what appeared to be human genitalia, the local court magistrate said at the time, as did other characters depicted in the cartoons. The magistrate told McEwan he would have been jailed had the images involved real children.

Turns out he was waiting for his kid, but because he was just sitting there, reading the paper, someone at the school thought he looked "suspicious" and called the cops.

Yeah, it's rather ridiculous here in the UK. One guy wanted to take photos of his children on a bouncy castle (they were the only kids on it), and the female attendant said he couldn't because he might be a pedophile.

I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago. I was going to Bam Bam Music in Blacktown to pick up a guitar I'd dropped off for a service thinking they opened at 9am but they didn't open until 10am. The parking gates weren't open yet so I parked around the corner, popped some sunnies on, rolled the seat back and layed there half asleep to pass time. I ended up dozing off...

At about 10:30am I woke to the sound of knocking on my window. I look up and see three cop cars have surrounded my car. When I wound down the window one of them reached in, unlocked the door and I was pulled out and pinned against the fence while they search my car and question me about weapons, drugs and anything else that came to their brilliant minds at the time. They payed particular attention to the empty guitar case, how suitible it would be for concealing items and how it 'conveniently' lacked a guitar inside.

Eventually one of the geniuses finally thought to go confirm my story with someone at Bam Bam at which point they finally explained themselves and let me go. Basically I had unknowingly parked across the road from a methodone clinic. Because I was dressed all in black, was rough shaven, had a car with all sorts of random shit in the back, was laying there for over an hour and had sunnies on one of the locals thought I was up to no good and decided it was their civic duty to cause shit.

pornography in the country has always been a very very subjective matter in this country and they'll always try to control it -such as with the government internet blacklist bullshit- but since they don't understand it, they will always fail and people will just get what they want from somewhere else or get into fucked up shit and think that it's normal.

Yes, there are some ignorant parents out there. My wife was at the park last week and a two year old girl was on some equipment by herself, she was about to fall off the top of a slippery dip platform when my wife intervened. shortly after the mother arrived and my wife said "your daughter nearly fell off there then, I had to save her, thankgod your here." to which she got no reply...

Also my son always says hello to other children he meets and asks what their name are, they always stare blankly back at him. Maybe my son is just a genius and very articulate or these other childrens parents dont bother to teach their kids squat.
