Yeeha!

Excellent setlist...all the essentials are included and "For Your Life" (love that one), to boot!

Still, I'm really curious as to how they sounded. I heard they had to play the tunes at a "lower tuning" to match Plant's lack of ability. I'm not a musician so I probably got this wrong but this is close to what was reported on Bravewords a few weeks back.

I'm sure they had to rework the songs for Plant's voice. That's just a matter of being decades older than when they were recorded. I mean, I'm not a singer and my voice has changes in the last 20 years, so I can only imagine what a vocalist goes through with their voice over the years. that is why I'm kinda amused when people remark about a singer not being able to hit the notes they originally recorded 20 odd years before. My speaking voice has changed over the years, so I can only imagine if I had been singing heavy music for all those years.

Soundmaster, I wasn't suggesting that you were saying this, or being critical, just a general comment the situation. Don't want you to get the idea that I was referencing your post.:)

I'm interested in reading/seeing any reviews on this show. I'll have to do some diging around the 'net when I get my dinner break. I was pleasantly surprised by the VH reunion (still not worth $150, IMO) so maybe this one went ok as well....

I cant imagine them doing "Since I've Been Lovin You" that was Plants most powerful studio performance. I'd like to hear that, is there going to be a DVD of this concert ?

The guitars sound low, I think they are tuned down to the key of D, I know Black dog is in D on this show. Ive heard this was recorded for a DVD, but Im more interested to know if Jimmy Page has any slick riffs left to offer on a new Zep album.

Seems someone doesn't want footage going out. Most every link I tried on YouTube has been removed. Either they're trying to keep everything for the DVD release or their performance was atrocious.

somewhere I read Zeppelin was always highly protective of their music and performances, permission to cover their songs for recordings, ect. Something about that Cadillac commercial being one of the first times they allowed one of their songs to be used commercially. [Rock N' Roll was used for a Cadillac commercial here in the States, incase those from other countries did'nt know]

I'll tell ya, if I was in a professional band I wouldnt want those cell phone and other cheap means of recordings I've tried to struggle though being aired either, they just make everything sound and look horrible.

I have a boot of the whole show, sounds kinds shitty (the boot, not the band). When I got home last night, there were 2600+ seeders on the torrent. I got it in like 4 minutes...

Warner Music Group is behind that. They had a team ready, to search out all video clips of the concert, and promptly ask YouTube to remove the copyrighted material. Most videos were lucky to survive 24 hours, some stayed up for a couple of days before being removed.

There are still clips, but today you have to physically go to YouTube and do a new search to watch videos that likely won't be there tomorrow.

I don't see the big deal. The concert got great reviews, and the audio and video is so shitty there's no way anyone could actually "sell" these homemade clips. They are simply a taste of the concert, a way for the rest of the world to get a sense of a historic event while we anxiously await the DVD.

It was worth it, the VH reunion and btw I only paid $90 I believe :p It was worth it because it probably will never happen again....it's a once in a lifetime thing.. we can spend $100's on CD's but not on a reunion concert?... the reunion knowning how Eddie and Alex are with getting along with people... I want to go to the March show here in NY for VH...

Anyways as for Zeppelin, I wish they had done other songs that are not staple Zep songs in concert like

Ten Years Gone
In the Evening
Babe Im' Going to Leave You
I'm Gonna Crawl
Fool In the Rain

etc.. etc..
