ZYBORG (8-string content, for fans of The Contortionist)

This is my latest mix, which I feel is my best yet. I recorded, mixed, and mastered my friend's band.

Guitars and bass are all Axe Fx II, drums are Superior Drummer.
I feel like I've progressed a lot with my mixes, but some critiques on this mix would really be appreciated

Sounds like some proper mastering could help bring the volume and energy that the track needs.

I'm usually not a fan of those stock SD2 cymbals, and here is no exception. I also think this mix is a bit too bass heavy. Also, the mastering like Cory said.

Yeah this is probably my 3rd attempt at mastering a song.

Any particular tips or directions as to how to go toward a more proper master?
