Favorite set of Joey's toms?

Just bought the detuned toms. They sound good. But I'm wondering if anyone who has more than one set (shoulder city, detuned, B&G,) prefers one set over the others most of the time.


Sidenote, of you EQ the the detuned toms the right way they sound exactly like the Stand Up And Scream toms O_O

Hell, lets just make this a "Favorite Joey Samples" thread. Cymbals, Toms, Snares, whatever.

So far i prefer the "Dreaming Heavy" cymbals over the "Emerald Truth" cymbals.
The "detuned series" toms over the "B&G" toms.

Still unclear on this one thing though: Is the Joey 1 Snare the same as the B&G snare? I know its been asked before but not sure it's been answered.

No it isn't, Snare 1 is the Miss May I snare from Monument, Black & Gold is Eric Chois' from the To Move On Is To Grow single.

Dreaming Heavy and Screaming Simple are my favorite bronze sets. The shoulder city toms are good but they sound a bit too pre-processed for my taste.

Dreaming Heavy, and both the shoulder city sets are awesome. I really like the detuned toms and the JS snare. The only thing I really like from the B&G kit is the toms.

I've only got Snare 1, Detuned toms and Masters cymbals.

Dig em all.
But I use the detuned toms more as an effect tom sound than my main tom sound.
Just don't dig how deep they are haha.
Awesome for big hits though.
