As metalheads I don't think any of us need to be too concerned about pop music being created artificially... studios have been doing that for years already without AI At the end of the day AI (at the moment at least) can't play live, and seeing a band in concert is an important part of most people's metal experience. People who can play stuff live will want to create their own stuff, it's human instinct to want to put your own work out there, not just play something generated by AI.
That's not to say it won't happen, or that AI won't be used to help artists when they're having a bit of writers block, but I don't think - for metal at least - it'll become an issue any time soon. Stuff like Pop, Country, even modern Hip Hop already has a ton of manufactured product out there, so AI or not it doesn't make much difference. Listen to Anders on Pure Light of Mind, which might as well be an AI rendition of an actual singer, and ask if it's not already happening?
