PICTURE SIGN WORLDWIDE DEAL WITH PURE STEEL RECORDS

Dutch Heavy Metal Legends PICTURE have signed a world-wide deal with Pure Steel Records.

The deal will be for the bands all NEW Live Album titled "PICTURE LIVE: 40 Years Heavy Metal Ears, 1978-2018". The album will feature the definitive Classic line-up.

As part of the deal, PICTURE have also announced the release, for the first time on vinyl, "Old Dog New Tricks" from 2009 and "War Horse" from 2012. Details will be forthcoming!

Picture is, arguably, the very first Dutch Hard Rock band to be the Breakout band of its Native Country. Historically, the band have released seven albums. They have toured world-wide and extensively throughout the world with other legends and stalwarts such as, AC/DC, Saxon, Ted Nugent, Rose Tattoo and April Wine. Along with notable headlining tours of Germany, Italy and of course, their home land.

Their place in Rock folklore is now further cemented with the forthcoming release of their new live album! Join us in Welcoming one of the most innovative Rock Acts in all of Heavy Metal!

Picture had a very successful year with several great gigs throughout Europe. This concluded with the signing of the world wide record deal with Pure Steel Records. In fall 2018 the long awaited live album with the classic Picture line-up will be officially released.

But Picture is not going to stop there! They are working on a brandnew Album with all new material to be released in 2019.

The release date of the of the Album „Live - 40 Years Heavy Metal Ears - 1978-2018“ by the Hard Rock Band PICTURE from The Netherlands on CD is October 26th, 2018. The pre-order phase will start on October 12th, 2018 in our webshop.

One of the first and most unique Heavy Metal bands in the Netherlands has been active again for more than a decade: PICTURE. For the 40th anniversary of the band a fantastic live album called 'PICTURE LIVE: 40 Years Heavy Metal Ears, 1978-2018' will be released through Pure Steel Records.

On the eponymous tour 17 songs were recorded, of course including many classics. These were played on the stages of Europe by the four original members we have known since their debut in 1980: Ronald van Prooijen, Jan Bechtum, Rinus Vreugdenhil and Laurens Bakker, as well as today's second guitarist Appie de Gelder. Not many bands, especially those from the 1970s, can still perform their songs in the original line-up in 2018. PICTURE celebrate this event in their best form and devote themselves mainly to the songs of the first three band works.

Meanwhile, the gentlemen have entrenched themselves in a studio and actually announced a brand new album for 2019. Until then, we must continually devote ourselves to this never-ending classic: 'PICTURE LIVE: 40 Years Heavy Metal Ears, 1978-2018'. A photo is usually only considered, PICTURE you can hear and feel.

PICTURE „Warhorse" - LIMITED DOUBLE VINYL EDITION - Cover, Tracklist, releasedate: 14th December 2018

The release date of the PICTURE album „Warhorse“ on limited Doublevinyl edition is December 14th, 2018. The pre-order phase will start on November 30th, 2018 in our webshop. The Album will release in a limited Edition of 300 black copies, 1 Bonustrack and insert.
The ninth and so far last studio album from 2012 of the Dutch heroes PICTURE is currently being made available on classic vinyl. The only minor flaw on this work is the absence of original singer Ronald van Prooijen, who has returned to the band recently. Of course Pete Lovell, who sang in PICTURE in the mid-1980s and for a decade from 2007 to 2017, did a good job on 'Warhorse' too. And Pete Lovell has a damn powerful voice, that fits as well in European Hard Rock and NWoBHM and is even convincing every American Hard Rocker. Friends of PICTURE should take their chance now, but also fans from SAXON to DEMON will be satisfied when listening to stylish and powerful heavy metal like this one.

Only a few months ago, PICTURE delighted us with the live album "40 Years Heavy Metal Ears - 1978-2018" in the classical band line-up. 3 years ago, the remaining two original members - bassist Rinus Vreugdenhill and drummer Laurens "Bakkie" Bakker - could actually reunite with guitarist Jan Bechtum and singer Ronald van Prooijen.

Now, in 2019, they give their followers a new album. This fabulous quartet, which debuted in 1980 and is now reinforced with the second guitarist Appie de Gelder and recorded ten classic songs for the new masterpiece called "Wings".

PICTURE play authentic music that will not only satisfy their own followers, but also captures those who like NWoBHM, Teutonic Metal and Classic Rock. PICTURE forever.

The new Album “Wings” was recorded Winter/Spring 2019 at Red Pack Productions in Ridderkerk (The Netherlands). The Engineer and producer of the album was Jonathan Merrelaar

PICTURE - official video for "Stroke" released

PICTURE has released a new lyric video for the song "Stroke". As a reminder to all of you, the 10th and new Picture Album "Wings" is set for release on August 16th, 2019. The pre-order phase will begin on August 2nd, 2019 through our Webshop!

About the song itself, guitarist Jan Bechtum recently stated:
"This song is about the stroke by Rinus Vreugdenhil (bass) had a few years back, about his life before, during and the fight to a comeback after the stroke".
