Torche...

Thoughts? Listening to them I don't get the same sense from them that I do when listening to The Sword. I recognize they are going for the 'retro' thing, but just seems genuine. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I actually like this band.

I like the previous material by Torche a lot, and the releveant band, Floor. I haven't heard the new album yet. I do not see any 'retro metal' in what they're doing, as far as the previous material goes. Are they agressively marketed as metal?

I like 'em but ...but....do you realise they're touring with THE SWORD and STINKING LIZAVETA!!? Sometimes they're even referred to as (god forbid!) Stonerrock!! Is it OK to like these guys? You 'tr00' metalguys are skating on thin ice here

Torche is good. They play around here a lot but I haven't seen them yet. Hopefully that'll change with their The Sword tour and then with Boris in July.
