i`m a bit curious... what bands have inspired you to creat you`re style? may i guess it was mainly Jetro tull? oh, and what do you think about the irish scene, primordial, waylander...?

There was no bands directly responsible, I have always been into folk music and metal although one band that I was listening to a lot at the time of Cruachans creation was an irish band from the 70's called The Horslips. Although they were just rock music, at the time they were as heavy as it got and they were all professional folk musicians who mixed Irish folk with rock, I still think they are a great band. I was listening to Sabbat and Skyclad at the time aswell as all the black metal stuff of the time.

The Horslips is a new name to me, i`ll try to look for thier stuff.
and i kindda took Sabbath and Skyclad as celtic rock inspirations for granted... thanks mate!

yeah keith, i ment Walkyiers band too! of course i like ozzy`s sabbath as well... i`d say dreamweaver is thier best.

Some weeks ago I visited Ireland, love the country. Did two 'gigs' (jamming) playing traditional Irish music on Clare Island...as a percussionist. One with "The Drum" and one with two pencils and a table with Guiness pints.
