2013: CONSTRUCT

Do any of you guys know how to become a "clubmember" on CMdistro.de? I really want to pre-order the Construct Red Vinyl + 7 Inch but I'm not a clubmember...

Any info would be massively appreciated!

^ Hmmm go to CM.com, CM is a US label, so if you want the red one I'd look there; although I don't know what shipping be cheaper to New Zealand. (I miss Rayna :( .) Furthermore, Nuclear Blast.de has the white vinyl, which is limited to 200; I'd go for that one to be honest; CM carries a lot of stock and the red is limited to 2K I think.

Thanks guys, I didn't realise the white vinyl was so limited.

EDIT: for anyone who's interested, I contacted Cmdistro.com and they told me that they manufactured 700 red LPs and 300 grey.

No prob!

Hmm OK I didn't know those were so limited; I'm a completist when it comes to DT, so I'm tempted of getting those as well, as they should be cheaper than the European ones. Thanks for the info!

It's actually not clear at all what's on the bonus disc. The ad says "bonus live tracks", but there's no tracklisting.

and since the
Bonus Disc includes select tracks taken from a live appearance in Milan Italy plus two tracks taken from European festivals.
(source: http://www.cmdistro.com/Item/Dark_T...t_+_Bonus_Disc_+_Poster_-PRE-ORDER-/PKG001494), I suppose that tracks 1-6 on the bonus CD taken from Where Death Is Most Alive CD1, tracks 7-12 are from WDIMA CD2 and tracks 13-14 are from We Are The Void Tour Edition 2011 (Dream Oblivion live@With Full Force 2010 & Iridium live@Summer Breeze 2010) (http://www.discogs.com/Dark-Tranquillity-We-Are-The-Void-Tour-Edition/release/3430698)

CMdistro.com has also updated their vinyl listings to include the 7 inch "Deconstruct", which until now appeared to be a European exclusive. So now, the red and grey LPs come with a corresponding coloured 7 inch. Decisions, decisions...

Nothing has really been released in very close proximity. The first two were on the 15th and 25th, and the next song is due tomorrow, the 9th (with a video!), so it's about 1.5-2 weeks between tracks leading up to the album release.

10 days between songs 1 and 2 and 14 days between songs 2 and 3. I don't remember hearing tracks from Fiction or any other album coming out that rapidly.

Hmm, not sure about the video but I think there were also 3 songs published before the album release (Dream Oblivion, At the Point of Ignition, Shadow in our Blood(video)).

I liked elements of Uniformity but on the whole the pieces didn't fit together for me.

For the first time listening as it stands alone song, yes…I do have some feeling like an empty, blank spot …something wasn’t in its place.
Different feeling with 2 previous songs which have strong character; For Broken Words with its strong dark doomy aura and; The Science of Noise perfectly indicating the 20 years of Band’s life in 3:51 minutes song.

Then, I made my playlist in my cellphone (same with the album itself);
1.For Broken Words
2.The Science of Noise
3.Uniformity
listen, feel and think to them again and again and yup…déjà vu. This feeling is same when I enjoying The Gallery, The Mind’s I, Projector and Fiction. It has tempo changing among the songs, it has deep emotion, it is a drama (showed in a different style from one another)….something that I can’t find in WATV until this day.

Maybe it’s too early for me to rate the Construct, but I hope all the great review from many sources are proven. And I really want to hear what Nile, Kreator, Heloween and Sentenced works on another DT’s songs.

We Are The Void wasn't up to my style. I don't believe in "growers".

Interesting way of putting it. In my experience with DT, every album blew me out of the water and amazed me on first listen. Subsequent listens were required to digest the phenomenal-ness and depth of each track.

There are bands that I like that were "growers," but DT was and is not one of them.
