Thanks for the feedback! I really can't hear all the mud you hear in this track... could you be more specific? What's making the guitars muddy? Do they miss or have too much of some freqs? Maybe too much gain? I really don't know... I must say I really like how this whole mix came out, guitars...

Someone found this multitrack, it's a killer song played and recorded so well I had to mix it! Reamping of bass and guitars, chosing drums samples (unfortunately no "real" recorded drums here), mix and mastering done by me. It'd be cool if you take 5 minutes of your time to listen to this and...

Here's a test mix for a "modern metal" oriented guitar/bass tone I created, don't pay too much attention to the riffs, I'm not a guitar player nor a "djent guy", these are just random riffs put together to make some sort of sense (even though they don't), just imagine the potential of this tone...

Hey guys! Last year I recorded this cover, tried to mix it, didn't end up with something good so I left it there in my HD. Now I thought to try mix it again, and this time it seems I got (almost) where I wanted, maybe a little darker than what I wished for, but since I've recorded these guitars...

Drums are a bit too aggressive for this "song" IMHO, but sound great anyway! I find the mix to be too much bassy, and it seems like there's a lot of clipping going on.

I understand the struggle! I'm also stuck with fake drums, at least until I get my hands on a real studio...

I think it has some strange eq, maybe it's just me, but it sounds a bit "hollow", vocals are too loud for my taste and have some harshness on the highs, too much distortion I guess. Also there's too much reverb on guitars. Overall it's a bit darker than what I usually like, but that's taste I...

Not bad, drums are overpowering everything else IMHO, beside that I find vocals to be a little "strange" sounding, don't really know what I don't like about them anyway :tickled:
