    I'm notan ENGL hater...I only hate the powerball ;) the fireball is IMO way better sounding han the PB.. EDIT....still, I dont really like the guitartone, sorry...sounds too gainy and small for me :(

    just use aptrigga and ALL your samples are phase-aligned with the mic-tracks as soon as you align ONE of the samples.... with drumagog I always had the problem thatthe phase-ralationship between sample and mic varied from hit to hit

    yep, there's some slate black kick in there (about 20-30%). I usually layer kicks to get the thickness. bands loves the last version

    what they've got in common is this upper mid-presence and a pretty high HP-filter early in the distortion stages....(that's why you don't need a TS but it can also sound a bit sterile)

    yeah, the sh-5 is already pretty tight (for a passive!). I have my EMG as close to the strings as possible (almost touching the strings), never had any problems with that

    used the sh-6 quite some time, had it in one of my les pauls and in a robin...really liked it. the sh-15 blows it out of the water though
