UK National Battle of the Bands

That's really good news regarding the sponsors! I wonder if Peaceville will be scribbling down any notes about the bands ;) You really should post the info about this on the Blood River forum (post it on the General Metal discussion board). They host forums there for 22 underground UK bands...

    Opeth- London Gig.

Lopez was totally on form. Love it when he's in that kind of mood. In some songs he was just off in a world of his own. It think that's his best drumming performace i've seen - because of all the improvisation :) It's gonna be a rather special DVD!

Einherjer to play in the UK

It's good to see a band being brought over and given a strong supporting line up too. You got your flyers done yet? By my reckoning there are at least 5 gigs to flyer this at... including tonight at Mortiis where i shall see you anyway, i guess (memory is not working at the moment).

    Detonation to hit the UK!!

Not central London, unfortunately. I don't think there were any easy opportunities during their time over here. Obviously depends upon where you are in London as to how easy it is to get to but Romford is Zone 6 in east London. Trains from Liverpool Street and Musictek Studios are in Chesham...

Shock and Awe: Hidden meanings (?)

Shock 'n' Awe = Shekh-in-ah Take a look at this link for background on Israel's Operation Shekhinah http://www.geocities.com/operationshekhinah/one.html We never really saw the predicted Shock 'n' Awe. Maybe it was never meant that way. Maybe we are watching Operation Shekhinah by Proxy...

    Forefather

Forefather have to be one of the UKs most criminaly under-exposed bands (well, I think it's just a two man project rather than a 'band'). I really like the music I have heard. I must admit I am guilty of never following this up and buying the albums. Thanks for reminding me :).
