giubis, I always try to get as much bleed from my snare into my OHs as possible. Like I mentioned, a good portion of my snare tone comes from the overheads.

Thanks Allan, I believe it's an Evans G1... or maybe it was a G2. I really like that head on my Porkpie snare (it's the Big Black Brass model, ie, Black Beauty knock-off)

Yeah, like Sig said; lots of careful slip editing in Reaper. I never have problems with phase on my kicks because I'm waaaaaaay anal about my quantizing, and I edit/trim my kick samples the same way as I quantize, so they always line up perfectly.... or did you mean something else?

Not really digging the kick with the drums solo'd. Sounds a bit too separated from the kit. Just my .02- sure it'll sound good in the mix

^haha. Kick will sound pretty beast in a mix, I can already tell. If anything, as it stands, it'll CUT like a motherfucker. =D
