I am thinking about getting 2 Seymour Duncan Alternative 8 SH-15 (in the bridge and neck). I think bridge pickups in the neck sound stronger and have more sustain. (And I use the neck pickup for soloing probably 80% of the time).

Since I switched from my old MacBook (with FW400) to an iMac (FW800) I have massive problems with my Apogee Duet interface. No one can tell me what’s wrong with my gear (I talked to the Apogee and Thomann guys). ….so therefore I want to try different cables. Once I plug in the Firewire...

Thanks guys, I am now on the Carvin site checking out the descriptions of the woods. Over the years I played most of the time mahogany bodies (Ibanez RGA, ESP Horizon). Any other Carvin enthusiasts out there?

Sorry for the hijacking but one of my guitars needs a re-fret too. :D How often can a quality guitar be re-fretted? I have a 90s Les Paul (second hand) that’s probably re-fretted three times and now I want to put on extra jumbo frets on this one.
