Also the verses in Liberation are some of the best katatonia has ever put out. Shame they're so short in that song

While I don't disagree that the older material was emotionally charged, I find it odd that a few of you are actually calling the newer material "less depressive". I actually find the two most recent albums to be the MOST depressing work they've put out. It's less in your face with the sadness...

Woah re-mix VE of all albums? Maybe not a popular opinion but the guitar tone on that album is one of the reasons I enjoy it so much. It sounds so aggressive, oppressive and chaotic. Heavy heavy sound, I really liked it and felt it fit in very well.

Yep, all it is is the note clashing with the keys or some other note that is played that second time around that isn't in the first time.
