The Tattoo Thread (for owners and fans alike)

Oh my. I like him. I like him very much. And Cari, you will hate the sleeves I have planned. One is going to be an H.P. Lovecraft sleeve, the other either a classic horror theme (Vincent Price, etc) or more likely mythical monsters (draugr, harpies, maybe the Skunk Ape since I'm from Florida...

Touring USA in February/March 2011 (Supporting Cradle of Filth)

Yeah, we're gonna get there early. Early early, as the venue in Orlando actually seems to start their bands on time, if not earlier. I twittered Olli about beer, haha (he just seems to be on more). My favorite one is often compared to a black hole looks wise, so perhaps Mathias will be pleased.

Ugh, Miller Lite. The temptation to somehow smuggle them good microbrews at the Orlando show grows in me (especially considering most of them are like 10% ABV, should make for a good show :heh: Awesome pictures. I can't wait for next Saturday.

Got more work done on the wings today- about two hours worth, which is about when I get tired of lying motionless on a table, so it's all good. Probably one more session left for shading, woo!

Discussion on the new Album:"Stand up and Fight"

If you just can't wait, http://www.recordshopx.com/artist/turisas/stand_up_and_fight/ has the entire album streaming until March 1st. European record store, but the link works in the US for me...

    The currently listening to thread

Turisas-In The Court of Jarisleif. No better music to come back from the bar from, I think.

As far as I can tell from the posters, they aren't playing directly before CoF. The order looks more like Daniel Lioneye-Turisas-Nachmystium-CoF. Four bands, so less set time for openers I suppose. From that latest Nygard interview though, it seems like they're planning on coming back to the US...

    The "Random Bullshit" Thread

It's a lot better than it used to be (this coming from the US), but not foolproof, especially depending on where the tattoo is. My husband has a full throat tattoo, and an office job, and to be honest, that's rare. My old manager job allowed tattoos, but no piercings :err:. I think they are...

The Tattoo Thread (for owners and fans alike)

Okay, since I did ask for a tattoo thread, I should be the one to post it, right? So, if you have tattoos, post them here. If you don't have tattoos but you saw an awesome one, feel free to post it as well (although if you can, try to give credit to the artist :) ) Other than that, this...

    The "Random Bullshit" Thread

Speaking of tattoos, someone should start a tattoo thread in here. I'm getting more work done soon, but I want them nooooow, so I've been looking at other people's work like crazy. I'm sure I'm not the only tattoo lover on here, haha.

It looks like at least they're missing the brunt of this wonderful US weather (not that I can complain, I live in Florida). Hopefully they'll be able to avoid it all- I know the Finnish Metal Tour guys are having a horrible time with it.

    Interviews (and new Reviews)

Got sent this at FYeah, Turisas this morning-I guess there's a new interview in the Japanese magazine Grindhouse. Any Japanese fans on here? :)

    Mandatory Pinguin Topic

Since Cari requested it in the Bullshit thread... (Dictator Penguin is displeased by his cheap photoshop job, but he will have to deal with it.)

Band art - The forum gallery

Love the new art, as always, Kele. :) Do you mind if it gets posted on other sites? I'd love to put the new one up on FYeah,Turisas (with links/credit given, of course)

What are you reading/What did you read (books)

I got so many books for the holidays that I am going to have to catch up, quick. I've been working on Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian" for a while now. It's incredibly well written, powerful- but not an easy read. He's also the author of "The Road", which was amazing. Even if you saw the movie...
