I try to do pre-production with every band I produce, and of course we work with scratch tracks. But sometimes drummer's ego is simply too big to admit that he is not good enough to keep the tempo. You know, if the drummer practise let's say 1 hour once a week, then you can do nothing. :bah:

For me no difference. But sometimes it's indeed easier when you have the amp/head in your control room, and the cabinet is roaring in the 2nd room...

Great Post. I can also recommend http://www.mydrive.ch for sending big (wav) files - free registration, you can keep there up to 2GB for free, give someone password to download your files etc. Includes media players, so when for example someone put an mp3 or video on your "virtual hard disk"...

From these 3 I would also choose ORANGE... If I can recommend something else, then give a try with FENDER DT412 - probably best cab I ever had.
