V30/Greenback comparison
I think the difference in the GB is the break in... The purple sounds like it's newer...whereas the red is the classic GB.. Did you buy them new and placed them in the cab? Or are they used? -

Celestion comparison: G12-50GL, G12H-30, G12M-65, G12T-75, V
I liked the g12H30...a lot!!! Not that surprising since the OEM speaker for the amp(celestion EVH-Heritage Greenback )sounds a lot like a g12H30 and not like a greenback... Next I would choose the G12-T75 Hated the V30...but generally I don't like it at all... -

4, 8, 16 ohm sound difference?
in theory they don't sound the same... I have discovered that 16 is easier to control...the volume especially for bedroom... the 8 and 4 tends to get loud easier... it has to do with the transformers resistance I guess... -

EVM12L speakers - any good for recording?
They are nice speakers but I wouldn't use them on their own... I have heard an EVM in a 1x12 and it was not very nice... Lots of headroom but a bit harsh... The best way to use them is to combine them with something else... The best can I have ever heard,also heaviest and most expensive ever,was...
