    First mixing, looking for feedback.

Hi, you're really off to a great start! The bass-end is a bit weak on some parts, and for a techno-rock/metal-something-kinda style, I think it'd work just fine. Maybe try EQ'ing your way out of seperating bass-line and kick-drum, they are clashing a bit. Personally I would cut a bit off...

    Amplitube isn't so bad..

If hell was meant in a bad way, I gotta disagree - I mean, personally I find the kick a little too clicky, but it's nice and tight and not bad at all! Guitars might be a little louder

So first time I work with DI's and since I don't have a reamp kit, I decided on amp sim. I just wanted to know if this tone would work in a real mix with the 'standard' tenor metalcore vocals. The amp sim is LE456 with TSE808 and catharsis impulse, and some EQ'ing. What can I do...

    Got myself a Bass! (Cheesy Hardrock/metal demo-snip)

So I got tired of trying to pitch shift my guitar, and went ahead and bought a nice used Yamaha TRB 1005 It's the first time I ever play bass, so the playing is awful - but anyway. I wanted to see if I could get this 'thing' to fit in a mix, just for the sake of experience. Amp is a...

Help! 6505+ 112 odd clipping-ish distortion on recordings?

HMm okay! - I guess I just have to try out another audio interface and see if it solves the problem EDIT: if you're able to fire up your amp at home, could you try to take the FX send of the amp to the audio interface and see if the problem occurs? - Chrisitan

Really, and replacing the audio interface fixed it? - what did you replace it with?

Help! 6505+ 112 odd clipping-ish distortion on recordings?

My bad - I -am- using the direct out, but the direct out is a line level signal ;) .. tried to record some stuff .. utterly failed though - Used some drum samples and pitch shifted my guitar to make some 'bass' This is the unprocessed recording This is the processed mix .. I...

Help! 6505+ 112 odd clipping-ish distortion on recordings?

One thing... could this be the so-called 'cross-over' distortion? The 6505+ as supposedly biased quite cold, but the 6505+ combo is said to be biased alright .. ? Edit: apparently some guy measured his 6505+ 112 to be biased around 19mA .. if this is the case with mine - Should I try to...
