I agree. Choirs Of The Eye is one great album - but I can understand why the metal fraternity are sometimes less than enthusiastic about it.

Isn't the addition of these kind of things enough to keep things interesting and fresh. Obviously they have refined the songwriting to a point where it is rather effective, and beyond bringing in other elements here and there (without completely overhauling what they have always been about)...

We seem to discuss this song more than many (well, the other contentious songs like 'Porcelain Heart' and 'The Grand Conjuration' seem to come up a lot as well). Personally I don't think it is as good as 'Deliverance', 'Masters Apprentice' or 'A Fair Judgement'. Can't decide between 'By The...

If I were the drummer I would say I meant to do it that way (and obviously that'd make me all the better for it). At least it shows that Lopez played his drum parts without having it pro-tooled to hell (I realize that they record the drum tracks for songs in sections but still).

Agree with everyone here. Sleepytime are ace. They have a 70s King Crimson vibe to them (maybe it's the electirc violin and dirty bass tones).
