Andy, what amps did Eric Peterson and James Murphy use on "The Gathering"? People are saying that it's a Mesa Triple Rec or a Mesa Rackmount. You were there, what was used? I wanna know because I love the tone on this album.

haha, i would ask Mr. Sneap, but the guy never answers any of my questions. But I'll take your guys' word for it. It sounds more to me like a Triple Rec head, but it very well could be a rackmount Mesa. Only Eric Peterson knows.

I would say that the heaviest amp on the market is the Crate Blue Voodoo. That warm crunchy tube sound just makes you wanna splooge in your pants! No offense to Marshall or Mesa, but I think they're a bit over-rated. Nowhere near as heavy as a Crate Blue Voodoo. Get one before they go out of...
