i'm capped atm so i can't hear the sample. But if you're making samples of the kit (cymbals as well??) It wouldn't make sense to just include close hits in the sample. Include the room and OHs at the same volume you'll be mixing them in the unprogrammed songs. Obviously helps with the stereo...

the bass was a classy ibanez 6 string, not sure what. the strings were just loose and awful. guitars were some 8 string schecter.

I think I might just replace the snare. I guess it does sound fairly out of place. the bass is tuned a whole octave down, low E sounds like fart, it's terrible. We were pushed for time and genuinely didn't even think about tuning it any different. I'll have a play and update. Cheers guys.

thanks for the reply man, sorted it out i think. I'm no midi whiz, but if i open the output i can see the channel there, configured the output to kt st1 and 2 for L and R respectively, seems to do the trick. Yeah?

is this a common problem or am i missing something here. I'd really appreciate some insight. can room samples can be blended with close mic via kontakt??

i bought the slate EX no brainer with the gogs a while back when it was on sale. my harddrive recently crashed that had all the gog files on it, which i primarily used for room sounds (kontakt + midi otherwise). Now i had the slate install files on another drive, so i have it all running fine...
