re-amping with a pod HD pro?

erg, you're right, that's where things become tricky. I forgot about that detail. If you had a separate interface or converter like I do, you would be able to do what I said. If you only run the POD, though, then that method won't work. But at the same time, you also won't manage to use a reamp...

So i just spent $12,000 and I couldn't be happier!

Even though I don't like the 421's clip, I think you made a good decision. And the Krank :kickass:

re-amping with a pod HD pro?

Alright, this is actually pretty easy (especially considering I did this the other day). The POD HD Pro has a line in on the back, that means you don't need to go through the big mess of getting a reamp box for now (because you should save for having real amps, when money and space allows). All...

Suggestions Needed For Making My Own Cables

Hey guys, so I'm finally on the verge of making my own cables so that I can use them come summer. I am running into some issues when it comes to choosing what raw cable to start off with, though. I don't know anything about electricity. The only thing I know on the topic of making cables is...

    Mixing,mastering problems

Best thing I can think of is getting new strings (especially for the bass). The mix actually sounds almost fine to me.

Recording tube amps without a load box?

I wouldn't even bother with the x50 step. Just run the amps signal into your impulses. that should cut down on the muddiness.

Recording tube amps without a load box?

I have heard about this method and never really gave it any thought, since I think it's far more of a demo kind of thing, but I think I may give it a shot in a few weeks when I get my amp back.

Recording tube amps without a load box?

After checking the Orange forums (it's always best to check an actual amp forum first on matters like this), it should work. However, keep in mind that you do, in fact, need to keep the amp connected to your cab. If you don't do that, then the power section will have problems, but as long as the...

    Need A Little Help Here

Alrighty. I was just focusing on guitars, since I actually have a chance to play with actual amps at the moment. But I probably should work on the drums.

    Need A Little Help Here

I decided to record a short little thing here. The guitars are recorded through an SM57 micing a Blackstar 4x12 (Blackstar HT-100 head). I can tell there aren't enough highs, but I didn't record much of them, so it's hard to work that into a mix. Tips...

Done a 360 in terms of gear (Guitars)

I think just about everyone prefers the sound of a real amp over the simulator, it's just what they can do. I love working with Peaveys, Blackstars, and Mesas. But when I'm off at school, all I can do is work with my POD. But when I get home it's right back to the big boys. You can't blast real...
