Ah, right, makes sense! How would i go about changing the midi channel and deleting the midi info guitar pro adds? now i know it's possible i think i shall be purchasing this iMac! What is the "correct" way of adding the midi? i assume it's file/import, which is the way we did it..

jipchen: Have you done this with logic/GP or another DAW? I'm thinking its the way he has stuff setup and prehaps when i'm starting from scratch it'll be ok

Every other daw i've used its worked fine... Prehaps it was my friends setup, he was using an insanely complicated soundcard and he's a self-confessed novice with midi. I'm just using an m-audio fast track. As i said you can see the levels moving up and down, and it imports the tempo track...

Hi guys, Very close to buying my first Mac and Logic, but need to overcome one more hurdle before i take the plunge. I'll explain my situation: Currently my DAW is cubase, I write my bands songs on Guitar Pro (hopefully someone on here uses this...!) I then export as midi, imort it...

Hi guys. Not sure if this has been asked before but it's bugging he hell out of me. i've written some drums on Guitar pro, imported the midi into my DAW (cubase) and loadd steven slate. one song i did was fine, i adjusted the snare levels a bit but it sounded good, next song, did the same...

Cheers mate! i'm not using any form of monitors hear...Logitech speakers with a crap load of bass, so even if i don't have a bass guitar in the mix, it sounds like there is on my speakers! Haha. there is a bass there but to be honest it is low in the mix and you're right the guitars are too...

Will do, cheers! The reason why i asked was because i recently went to see TYR with Alestorm, it was written like that on all posters/tickets but at the gig TYR played before them, which is good 'cos i wasnt a big fan of TYR, haha. But i lovr Strato and Firewind so its all good.
