Depends. I'm not familiar with the Windsor cabs, but most mass produced 4x12s are built pretty much the same way. If it's built out of birch I'd say go for it as long as the cost doesn't exceed buying a cab that already has the speakers you want.

If you have a volt meter you can check continuity between pins 2 and 3. This will at least tell you if the transformer is is connected and working.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but from what I've read and heard they're a pretty good copy of the 57. Supposedly they don't have as good of frequency response though. At worst it could be a good backup mic or a secondary snare mic. Out of curiosity, how did the other 57s...
