I have one set of tickets for Friday/Saturday, $150 gets 'em, will deliver in person at the show sometime on Thursday (or Friday if you're not into town until then). Message here if you want 'em.

Signal boosting myself a little bit. The Artmore made it impossible for me to actually get a room from them when they were available, so still looking for one -- either someone cancelling their stay (and can transfer their reservation to me), or someone that needs a roommate. Anyone?

I kinda got screwed by the Artmore and wasn't able to get a room there, but I'd *like* to stay there -- anyone staying there need a roommate? (Or anyone change their mind and is getting rid of a room?). I'd hate to have to end up staying anywhere else! -j

I hadn't listened to Myrath before the show, and wasn't really expecting too much, but I was blown away by the Myrath set! Y'all have totally earned my respect and I hope to see you in the US again sometime! ...sometime soon, preferably! -j

Wow, for once I managed to get photos up within half a year of the end of the fest! I'm not quite sure what happened there. About 150 photos, taken from the sets of: Circle II Circle, Circus Maximus, Myrath, Rhapsody, Sabaton, Shadow Gallery, and Xandria. I probably overdid it on the Circle II...

I love (and I mean love) the effective use of dual female vocalists. Unfortunately, I know of very, very few bands that actually do it (Dreams of Sanity did it for a bit... occasionally a band will do one song that does it, but I'm actually not aware of any other band that actually does it...

This... is awesome. ... we should totally find a way to sneak her onto the schedule this year ... ;) (And the *only* reason I smiley that is because I realize that logistically, it's probably impossible. I would absolutely be at the front of the room if she played!)

Not metal, but Alan Parsons' "On Air" is just amazing in 5.1/DTS. Or maybe I'm just biased because it was my first DTS CD way back when. It was a "written for 5.1 from the ground up" project, so really makes a good use of the format, even if slightly gimmick-y on occasion (sound effect pans...
