    Favorite Woods of Ypres Lyrics

"These woods are full of hope, these woods are where I walk alone..." (Dragged Across a Forest Floor) Not the lyrics themselves, but the context, musically as well.

    "Idle Blood" guitar tab request

I think the "Idle Blood" outro sounds a lot like the "Burden" outro, I mean, even the drumroll that kicks in the outro!

That was my first reaction and that's why I love this song so much, it sounds like Opeth! Even the vocals sound like Akerfeldt!

    Worst Opeth Song Moment

=== The snare drum in the "Blackwater Park" intro - sometimes sounds like a snare hard-on, sometimes sounds like a tom. ===

Introducing opeth to a jazz/classical influenced musician

=== Righto, it looks like I should have thought twice before posting something about a subject I know little about in such a factual manner. I guess I meant to say that the solo in "Benighted" is atonal in many parts, much like in the few free-jazz and jazz-fusion songs/jams I have...

Introducing opeth to a jazz/classical influenced musician

=== The solo in "Benighted" is probably the closest to (free)-jazz Opeth have done. ===
