Il Tempio delle Clessidre - new release 5/4/17

I prefer the "new" guy Francesco Ciapica, on the first album I thought Stephano Galifi sounded a bit rough around the edges. I saw them about four years ago in the Spirit of 66 in Verviers, Belgium shortly after they released the second album and Ciapica did a great performance.

    Do you Remember

I remember the first progressive vinyl I bought: Yes - Going for the One way back in 1977 The first CD would have been King Crimson - Lizard whenever I got my first CD player around the mid-1980's I can still remember the day going into the store which had very little Prog, then finding the KC...

Il Tempio delle Clessidre - new release 5/4/17

It's a great album, better than their previous two (which were excellent). It will certainly be in my top 10 for the year unless there are some exceptional releases over the next six months.

    Steve Hackett

I have listened to it a lot since I got the CD a few months ago. It has certainly grown on me, now I would say it is my favourite Steve Hackett album since Dark Town (excluding Genesis Revisited II and the live albums of the Genesis Revisited Tours which are fantastic).

    Hidden Track

You are right there Bob, its OK but in my opinion "Distant Satellites" was brilliant, I am quite disappointed with "The Optimist", for me its a step backwards

    Gandalf's Fist

"A Forest of Fey" was very good but I agree with Terry L the narration on "The Clockwork Fable" is extremely annoying. They should have release a version without the narration which would probably have condenced it to a 2 CD set (or maybe they did?).

    Facebook

I signed up to Facebook about 11 years ago - used it for about a week and then had enough of it, if people want to post what they had for dinner they have too much time on their hands - they should go listen to some good music!! Please retain the forum !!!!

    Top 10 of 2015

January is the time when I relisten to all the CDs I purchased over the previous year and pick my top 10 (it also helps me save money by not buying more until February). Initially I didn't think 2015 was particularly outstanding but after going through my purchases I realized there were actually...

    Veruno 2015 - short review

The Veruno "2 Days Prog + 1" was on last weekend and was my second time there. There was a good lineup, although while not as strong as last year, it provided an interesting mix of acts. Friday - 4th Opening act was a Suncage, a young Italian band. There were quite good, a bit of progmetal and...

    2015 Cds

2015 keeps getting better; another two superb releases: Anekdoten - Until all the Ghosts are Gone I think this is by far the best thing they have ever done. Superb musicianship and doesn't have the depressing melancoly of their past work. In places it almost sounds joyous!!! The Tangent -...
