Great list! I am very excited to check out the albums on it I haven't listened to yet.
I should know this since I've listened to the entirety of Colours in the Sun twice, but which track is the "AAAaaaAaAAAAaaaaAaAa" tune?
I have one ticket for the Thursday show to sell. I can give it to the buyer tonight. PM or e-mail me at trj521@gmail.com if interested.
EDIT: I found a buyer.
I enjoyed Pain's set a lot. I'm a fan of industrial, so I'd be happy to see more bands in that genre like Mechina or Neurotech (although I'm not sure either of them are live acts) play in this festival in the future.
I have spare tickets for Friday and Saturday for sale. I will part with both of them for $100 or $60 for either day.
They are physical tickets and I won't be at the Friday show on time, so I can meet you on Thursday evening anywhere in the Atlanta area to give them to you. Contact me at...
I was able to purchase tickets on the phone. The robot did not recognize ProgPower, but it recognized it when I said a band in the festival (Freedom Call).
I like that Harmony album a lot. Daniel Heiman has such a good voice for metal.
That Cage the Gods album is good too. Those songs would work well on the soundtracks for shows like Sons of Anarchy or Justified.
Overall: Porcupine Tree
Power Metal: Blind Guardian (who I really hope do another U.S. tour or festival appearance because I've never seen them live)
Progressive Metal: Devin Townsend
I've been to the last five.
My top 5 performances from those festivals:
1. Therion (2011)
2. Symphony X (2012)
3. Pain of Salvation (2014)
4. Voyager (2011)
5. Tarot (2010)
Royal Hunt for sure. They're one of the first bands to get me into this whole progressive/power/symphonic thing. That D.C. Cooper is singing with them again is icing on the cake.
