Hey thanks guys! Glad that you liked it. It's still awesome to play with a band of this stature and we're playing 3 of the songs from the album live every night on the euro tour. We're planning a big US tour for Apr-May. With a headlining set I'm hoping for more from this new killer album...

Thanks for the compliment!! I was never asked to play in Atheist, pretty sure I would have if they did. I loved Roger's style. But obviously they did perfectly fine with who they recruited after Roger died. For Cynic, no way. Not a good fit. I love their music, I love the guys, still great...

I'm not sure when he was asked to join or how much he did on his own for prep. But we had no band rehearsals, so the first time I ever jammed with him was right there in that video.

A rough one indeed. All sorts of monitor and feedback issues all night. Coming full bore out of the gates with that tune with no soundcheck or monitor check...well you can see. But since then we've gotten back to our game, shows are going much better now. Plus Skolnick is retuning to the lineup...

Digging in...

I'm tracking a new Testament song, and using a passive bass. It's been a while since I haven't used active pickups or at least active circuitry. This is a total passive system and I think there are some advantages, but clearly some things I miss with the active sounds. Any thoughts or opinions...

Just curious. How much, in terms of time spent and content concentrated on, practice are you committing to? How regimented are you with exercises or does the stream of consciousness flow? Thanks, SDG
