Aggressive Metal - Vocals need critique

Hello everyone. Mixing this little track to practice mixing vocals. I'm not a great screamer, but I'm attempting anyway. I feel like the vocals don't sit in the mix as well as they could. What suggestions do you have? My current chain: -De-esser -EQ - HP@150, Boost@250, Cut@500...

    shreddage 2 phasing issues

Thank you guys, the Reset RR button fixed everything. I have ran across another problem I'm having as well. I'm trying to automate pitch bend in Fl studio and cannot find the right parameter. I don't see pitch or bend. I see modulation wheel, breath controller and portamento, but no bend... =(

    shreddage 2 phasing issues

I recently purchased shreddage 2 and am more than happy with it. I only have one issue, which is probably my error. I decided I would bounce down shreddage with guitar rig 5 providing distortion to four separate wav files. When I imported them into my mixing session they had extremely bad...

I actually use Reaper, but I'll read through the manual and search on the internet if I have more questions. I do appreciate your assistance, felt like a face-palm moment there.

How should promote my work as a solo artist?

    1) Create a self-promoting page on a popular social networking site. 2) Fill out the information, upload some music, photos, and videos. Note: Photos and Videos are important as well, as that attracts more fans. 3) Advertise like mad, post on popular sites asking them for a "like" 4) Post a...

    Superior Drummer 2.0

I currently have Superior Drummer 2.0 with only the NY Avatar library, which I plan on upgrading to 2.3 with more libraries, and I am very pleased with the kit, as apposed to my samples through FL Studio. I'm not too happy about the EQ and the Compressor that Superior Drummer offers. Would...

Client makes requests-no samples, gates etc... Do you use them!

I would say use an A and B reference, but you've said you had a negative experience with it, so I would just say screw it and use it. It is their song and all, but you are the one producing it and you need it to sound as good as your ability can provide.

how do you guys pan/mix your guitars?

It depends on what kind of lead it is. If it's a lead part that you really want to showcase, then you would double track it for width and pan like 10% in each direction, or almost center. Otherwise, keep the guitar on it's respective side, assuming you are working with two guitarists. I...

Questions on reverb on rhythm guitars?

He said that his recordings sound "flat". Some nice saturation on my guitars really assisted me with adding some excitement to my dynamics, making them sound less flat. Just because he asked a question about reverb and included the word room in his post, doesn't mean reverb will fix his...

Questions on reverb on rhythm guitars?

I don't recommend that at all. I think you are in need of some good saturation on your guitars.

    Mixing limiter?

Kinda related to this subject, I suggest reading through a thread that was popular a while back. Titled something like "-18 db mixing" I believe it was that thread that got me started on using a limiter on my master. I have seen nothing but positive results.
