i'm from italy, and the "extreme scene" is very underground. there are a lot of bands that play symphonic power like rhapsody but they are too boring!! there are some cult band like Adramelch (past) and Doomsword and Dark Quarterer, that are True Heroes of Epic Metal. :grin:

a good band from france is Lyzanxia: Industrial-Thrash, melodic and very powerful!!

i'm form italy, and here the cds cost a lot!! for a new realease a spend 18-20 €!!! i'ts too for me, i'm a student. in your nations what is the price for cd?? do you buy in shop or with a mail order???

i think that Arkhon Infaustus is a quite good band, specially on-stage. like Kveldssanger say, the sounds are very old school an blasphemous!! heard before buy it!!
