    Mix Feedback

I think it's pretty good and very clear. I think the main thing might be the kicks (a little too clicky and maybe could use some sustain - the song isn't that fast so it could maybe benefit from a slightly fatter sound). it kinda reminds me of the 3rd hail of bullets album in terms of the drums...

Bolt Thrower - For Victory cover/multitracks

Hi all, made a quick cover of this classic Bolt Thrower song over Easter, and figured I may as well post the multitracks from it. Not particularly good quality DIs sadly but c'est la vie. My own mix here:

Melodic Death Metal - Your opinion on the mix

guitars are mixed too low and are a bit dark. snare feels a little over-reverbed and boxy in the busier parts. keys really sap a lot of the attack in the guitars. basically alter the guitar/keys balance first and see if any new problems arise, but the guitars atm are basically buried

I have no Idea about my low tuning tone(stl willputney diezel+jeff dunne fredman mesa os)

low mids are pretty boomy. play around with some cuts between 150-1000 hz, just moving the eq band around in that range. the tone is also maybe a bit too compressed? it lacks much attack

Decapitated - Carnival Is Forever type mix

Been working on a cover of Three Dimensional Defect from The Negation, mostly done with instruments, still gotta learn the solos fully but I've got a lazier rendition of the first one so far just for reference. Atm having difficulty finding the spot to cut to make the guitars/bass sound as...

    Old School Death Metal mixing

drums are ez drummer metal machine (all as default except snare which is the black beauty sample and the kick which is the smaller diameter one)

    Old School Death Metal mixing

Been working on some songs in the old school florida style, especially influenced by Disincarnate and Obituary. This is probably the most polished of them so far https://soundcloud.com/eztheslightlyfunny/spawned-with-indignity Atm having a bit of a roadblock with the guitars. Comparing them to...

    Slam/Death Metal mix feedback?

I think the snare is good now, and the bass sounds good, I would just add way more lows to the kick since it's really clicky without any oomph. sounds like the dead shall inherit by baphomet but even clickier

    Tech death metal mix feedback

Your synths are way too loud, I recommend you move them down in the mix. Also it feels really impenetrable as a mix because a lot of instruments are occupying a similar space in the high mids, I would recommend you add some low mids to your bass, drop the ride and overheads in the mix/cut the...

    Slam/Death Metal mix feedback?

A bit better but the snare still sounds a bit weak and thin, I think you can still probably add a bit more low end to it/maybe try to add some compression so it has some sustain to each hit. Also whilst I realize it's common to avoid having too much resonance, it does feel a little characterless...

    Slam/Death Metal mix feedback?

snare a bit lacking in punch, more low mids might help. or you could go full slam and have a high tuned snare, up to you. likewise the toms and kick feel like they're a bit lacking in low end
