Concerts in the Year of the OX () aka 2009 -

I saw Opeth like a few weeks back. They ruled ( except for the new stuff, sounds like a doors jaming session ) but the crowd was nothing but fucking retarded kids, emotards and fucking posers. Such is the price of fame I guess.

I really hate Microsoft ( and I am indirectly on they payroll ) and their "Genuine Advantage" :( Also on the people I would like to tear their eyes out and skullfuck: Broadcom wireless and their stupid, bullshit wireless drivers. I wish it was easy for me to get a laptop ( mini pci-e I guess? )...

Thats fine, 99% should remain on a need to know basis when it comes to operating computers, the problem are "professionals" on the IT field that advocate windows, hence I gotta spend most of my day at work getting upwards of 6000 virus alerts and losing all my work data on a bi-monthly basis...

True to a degree only. However even if Linux was to raise to mass popularity it would still be a lot more stable and secure than windows simply because of the FOSS philosophy and having an easier way to detect, address and correct security issues. More over, by virtue of being a modular...

Hardware was very competent prior to Vista and one can make an argument that the "updates" vista offered were minimal if any, yet the requirement for horsepower was increased exponentially. I just think that being bullied into upgrading computers is something hardware manufacturers love about...

I don't want to break any rules but I can give you a link to a PICTURE that if you open on internet explorer will likely give me full access to your PC or crash it on the spot. Saying "I dont use IE" is not a good enough excuse since it is an OS component.

Yes! This was my objective! Seriously though paying extra for good looking hardware is almost the most stupid thing you can do when it comes to computer ( almost because there is only one thing that is even more stupid: Using Vista ) There is like a 70% chance that all of this is going...

As I mentioned on the previous post ( in which I did a personal first and replied to a person I am ignoring ) I don't really think this is a matter of simplicity or user friendliness. I've come to terms with the notion that user friendliness its an inevitable evil at this point. Both...

You are on a different economical league. I am sincerely happy you can waste that much money on PC's, this price debate is truly irrelevant to you sir.

I respectfully disagree. Here is why: 1) A "stupid moron" system build on top of a rock solid predecessor good enough for server tasks ( meaning amazing memory management and resource consumption when compared to others ). vs 2) A "stupid moron" system build on top of an unreliable system...

    New DT album soon?

Im officially subscribing to the "better late than nu-metal crap ( yes I am looking at you N*Flames )" school of thought. If I don't see another DT release I'd be a shame but rushing an album always leads to crap results trust me.

You still are, its just a good ol' PC with OS-X on top. You are at least using a BSD like system so good for you, one day you might graduate to Linux or BSD.

Any of you might be a little bit more awesome ( if you are awesome ) or a little bit less worthless ( if you are worthless, you will know this cause I already told you ) if you can give me a decent place for PS2 Isos that has a good selection, a good speed and reasonable Ratio requests (...

    the USA thread -

No offense to anybody in particular ( offense to everybody impersonally of course, im the fucking Misanthrope after all ) but it sounds so stupid when you speak about degrees and examples of deregulation. Social Democracy and moderate regulation its quite pointless at this point were the free...

    Reasons to Love DT

I see what you mean. My example would be submitting one of the interludes of The Dividing Line at around 2:24. It sounds pretty simple to play but is not that simple if you actually attempt to play it with a few people. You jump between counter point harmony to in synch harmony through the...
