I agree with most of the above... For me, the first 4 Opeth cd's are the only ones that get listened to any more on a regular basis. History shows, youthful energy (and the natural aggressiveness that goes with it) is key when you are a heavy metal band. Sadly, I see a lot of similiarities...

wow... funny I was listening to MAYH just today and thought to myself... damn this is so much better than their last 2 heavy offerings... it's not even close... the sound is so much heavier and more menacing and the clean vocals are some of the very best this band has ever done imo... not wishy...
