So I have encountered a massive problem with ordering strings from Just Strings... For shipping to Australia they expect me to pay $40, when I only plan on ordering $30 worth of strings (3 sets). Are there any stores online with the same sort of idea/stock but more Australian friendly?

Holy shit, I never knew a site like that existed! Both sets and singles are half as cheap as I could get them locally. Thanks for sharing that link. So say I was to order some D'Addario singles, I'd go for the basic Nickel Wound, correct?

Playing Progressive-ish Djent, not exactly sure on what to name it. So that may be an issue. But say a 7 string was tuned down to G# or so (think Periphery) and they were using a low 65 or whatever they fancy, you don't exactly hear them sounding very dull at the slightest? What gives?!

As the title says, who makes the best "heavy" gauge string set (13-70) or so. Or where would be the best place to order the strings separately? Why do I ask? Locally there is next to none in the range of strings above 12-56's and would rather get some opinions before ordering 15 different...

Looks like a solid vsti! One problem though, it's for Windows only. :bah: For the price of Trilian Bass I could get myself an el cheapo second hand bass which plays alright. Which would be the wiser option? I couldn't imagine a $300 bass handling G at all.

How much gain are you running on your 5150? It sounds like you could try dropping the gain down a tad. I own a 6505 and I never have the pre gain above 3 (or 3.5 if unboosted), that's the only problem I could think of. Aside from that everything is sounding pretty amazing on my end!

I mainly mic my guitar tones, although for rough ideas and noodling around I just use amp sims. You can get 'wrappers' for vst's to load them as AU files in Logic, look up VSTAU Manager. Haven't gotten around to trying that program yet, but from what I've read on various sites that seems to be...

Woah, I wasn't aware of that! It seems like a very good alternative to the LA Convoler AU plugin. Got another question for you guys, are there any decent Tube Screamer vst's out? Since the TSE 808 isn't compatible for Mac's I've been endlessly searching on Google for the next best thing. :bah:
