Awesome. I've been shopping around for monitors and keep coming back to the KRK Rokit 6 (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/krk-rokit-powered-6-generation-2-studio-monitor-each) because I see it in tons of home studio setups on Youtube and the like.

I'm mostly in need of a little bit more crunch and clarity and a decent effects unit. The gain on the Transtube Supreme is great at normal tunings but can get a little muddy around drop B. Is there a way to clean up the tone a bit without buying a different head?

On a side note, great job on the song. Reamping is a fairly new concept to me, but I've done it a few times with moderate success. You need an interface device, the ASIO drivers for it, a DAW, an amp sim, and a VST that loads cabinet impulses. First you record your dry guitar sound...

I don't have any monitors yet, I'm EQ'ing/mixing everything through a pair of Sony MDR-XB500. And the acoustics of my room are a bit terrible...drywall and faux hardwood flooring. I plan to hang some thick curtains around the walls to reign the sound in a bit before recording. Would that work?
