    Adenosine Breakdown/Buildup

Haha I admit it is absolutely genius, but it's not too hard to work out that it's backwards. After all, both tracks are the same length and Buildup starts with the reverse sound of the notes dying at the end of Breakdown. Brilliant work Ron!

Cerebrum:the new progressive death metal experiment

Linear Sphere's main influences are Cynic and Death. I saw them play live with Cynic and it was absolutely killer. Quite alot of Gorod's guitar work and general rhythmic structures sound like something straight out of a Spastic Ink (albeit with gutteral death metal vocals). TesseracT is more...

Cerebrum:the new progressive death metal experiment

It's really good! Right up my alley, I love them! Other bands definitely worth checking out of this type are: - Linear Sphere - Gorod - TesseracT - Spawn Of Possession - Fly Bait Enjoy, ladies and gentlemen! :kickass:

    Who plays spastic ink stuff?

Keyboard wizard? Wait, please don't tell me Mr. Rudess is THE Jordan Rudess?? :notworthy

    Gorod

Track 2, Gutting Job - skip to 02:20. Sounds SO similar to Ron's style and tone!

    Folk/Black Metal Crossovers

Hey, nice to see you've got a forum up and running guys! Good stuff! I wanted to get a thread started on folk/black metal crossover bands. As we all know Sil Veth is for those who like folk in their black metal  Anyone got any other good suggestions? A couple I'd like to throw into the mix...

    Gorod

Vocally, it's probably bordering on the most brutal thing a lot of people would have heard (unless you're into seriously brutal death metal and grindcore). But don't let this put you off, because although the tone of the vocals is a gargling gutteral growl, it's not really loud and in your face...

    Gorod

I've just picked up a copy of the album Neurotripsicks by Gorod. It's absolutely fantastic stuff! Imagine Spastic Ink crossed with Necrophagist, and you're in the right ball park. A lot of the solos and song structures remind of Ron, right down to tone. Great stuff, I highly recommend Gorod to...

    NEW PLANET X ALBUM- QUANTUM!

Yeah Tony had to give Planet X a miss this time around because Derek had a specific time frame that he wanted the album to be done in because fans had already been waiting long enough. During this time Tony was out on tour with Steve Vai (and they put on a spectacular tour - I went to one of the...

    question for ron from israel

If you play Saturation Point, I'll buy the whole band a few beers! My favourite Marty song by a long shot. Do you happen to know what Atma Anur is up to these days? That guy was one of the hottest drummers of the late 80s and early 90s. Anyone got any ideas what he's up to these days? I love...

    BLOTTED SCIENCE

:OMG: I can't believe you're playing in London with Marty! Me and my friends are all huge fans of yours Ron, and I'm also a huge fan of Marty. Plus Jeremy Colson is a dude, met him before when I went to see Steve Vai. Holy crap man, this is like the most exciting thing ever. You are my...

Greetings and News from Sun Caged!!!

Ha, I've known of Sun Caged and Marcel Coenen for a good while now. Nice to meet a Sun Caged member! :notworthy I've got an album of Marcel's called Guitartalk that is definitely one of the best guitar albums I own. His style seems to be somewhere between Vinnie Moore, Michael Angelo Batio...

Which album do you like best?

I'd have to say Ink Compatible does it best for me. 'In Memory Of' is probably one of my favourite songs of all time. Every single track stands out uniquely on its own, but then they all come together to create what I consider to be a perfect album. And it's made even more special to me...
