Dan wants to go out with a bang. This Second Sky thing will be his last statement before he finally retires and goes back to his native planet.

I think the real question is, is there anyone still interested? How many names we would get, say, in a month if we were to start a new list from scratch? Without any kind of incentive, I don't see why Dan would even bother setting up a Kickstarter page.

I fail to see how making a facebook or twitter page would be an improvement in Dan's case as far as discussion goes and that's what this place is all about, not how fast information goes around. I understand that some people are lazy and they wanna be spoon-fed small chunks of information...

^There's nothing wrong with the format, there are plenty of forums out there that are incredibly active. It's the lack of things to say and the inability to go off-topic that turn places like this one into graveyards.

I'm not Dan but I think it's safe to say that the only metal project he might be involved with is one called Witherscape. I say "might" because the last update on the subject was several months ago, so who knows... Let's hope we get some good news soon* *within the next 10 years or so
