The answer is... getting full band pics that are in focus is very hard to accomplish. Whenever possible, I include one or more in each of my band galleries. Another possibility is that I shoot differently than most concert photogs out there. I enjoy shooting my stuff "outside of the photo...

LOL... It wasn't the beauty of the subjects I was concerned with all fest... it was our lighting tech's fondness for red and amber. Too darned hard to shoot red successfully.

Thanks Paul. Novembers Doom pics are forthcoming. I am shooting with a Canon 350D, also known as the RebelXT, that I purchased back in 2007.

Nice... my favorites you listed are shots #5 & #3. I also took a bunch of nice shots from their short, but spectacular show. Their energy level was ridiculously high. Perzonal War was awesome as well. You can view the entire gallery on my Photography Portfolio page located at...

I also had a great extended weekend of metal and was treated wonderfully by all involved in the festival (including the security crew). I am proud to post a photo of Will's landmark first acoustic act in CPF history.
