IIRC, only the Eastern European edition was in jewel-case.

My first was DO, and it's been my favourite since, though with time it became tied with many experiences and sentiments, that listening to it is no longer a simple daily experience. I would think it's best to start with either BMD or LFDGD, depending on the angle from which you approach the band.

Actually, when I look back on LFDGD, I tend to feel that most of it lost much of its strength with time (the only exception being "Chrome"). As for Viva, I don't seem to find it (at least the three promo songs) all that similar to LFDGD.

I wouldn't say "Linkin Park goes doom", more like "BWP-Opeth goes nu-metal". I feel that these songs lost that special "aura" Katatonia used to have up until now. Not just melancholia, but also a sense of despair, passive acceptance of everything that is wrong, not wanting, wishing, or being...

Acid Bath rules! but i fear that i'll never understand what people find in Jeff Buckley's music...same goes for Nick Drake. for me, albums that get a lot of playtime recently are: Set Fire To Flames - Sings Reign Rebuilder Amorphis - The Karelian Isthmus Room With A View - First Year...
