I think theyre whole categorization of everything is kinda silly. Like how Ulver is called a post rock/math rock band particularly when theyre 1st and 3rd albums are clearly black metal.

what band (assuming it is one) is that on Mike's shirt? looks like it might be Bathory. oh and Will Smith is a great actor I think. and I like some of his hip hop its fun and nostalgic to me.

I went with the earlier vocals, just a lot more intense I think. for example, the vocals at the "arrival, I saw her standing in the darkness..." part from In Mist She Was Standing.

I just like the time on Lamentations before To Rid the Disease starts where Mike is like "only that its slightly mellow doesnt mean its any less evil does it?" and then a guy in the back is just yells NO IT DOSENT!

I gotta say Moonlapse too. In fact its one of my least favorite songs out of all Opeth, I like the one part that starts at 45 secs that everyone likes and the acoustic bit somewhere in there and then the rest is really boring to me.

I really like Prologue, it sets a great atmosphere and I dont think its meant for anything more than that. I voted Credence.

personally I think the albums from MAYH to Deliverance represent the peak of Opeth - or perhaps the classic years. I suppose I'd agree with you that Damnation and GR weren't amazing, but Watershed, I think, is the biggest and most successful step the band has made to moving forward and trying...

I like White Cluster and Hex Omega because they sort of directly continue the previous tracks, giving the end of the album a lot of momentum I think. But White Cluster is my favorite just cause of the last few seconds which wrap up the album perfectly.

the whole song is perfect I think. I notice a lot of people knock on the opening, I love it personally even if its pretty long. certain things are just better drawn out.
