    Do you think we're forever?

Opeth is my favorite band, hands down. But I listen to a wide variety of other music. Thrash metal, death metal, black metal... ...and then RAP, classic rock, TECHNO and all that good shit. I enjoy going out at night and getting high and drunk and chilling with girls. No I don't bring...

    Studio vs. Live

Studio recordings are something you obviously must have. You can live without seeing a band in person (unless it's Machine Head or Opeth). But if you are going to a live show, the studio recordings are what you need so you know the songs and aren't confused as to what is going on. The...

    Favorite non-metal band?

Led Zeppelin, Tool, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Van Halen

    Meshuggah

Meshuggah fucking rules. Heaviest band I know. Awesome and very complex music. Destroy Erase Improve is probably my favorite.

    Favorite song from Morningrise

ADVENT. Oh god, it's all about Advent. Yeah, it's kind of unfair for "Nectar". I mean, the other 4 songs are all so incredible, it doesn't really stand a chance. Too bad, the songs rules.

    Most emotional Opeth moment

I think someone already said it... But the riff in "Black Rose Immortal" at 13:38 or so. Absolutely stunning.

The best song from Blackwater Park

Tough question. It was between The Funeral Portrait, The Drapery Falls and Blackwater Park... but I have to go with The Drapery Falls... I love the whole flow of that song. The melodic riffs in that song are the best on the album and the bass is incredible! The buildups and climaxes during...

    Real Vocals!

Suffocation is great! I was listening to 'Pierced From Within' a little while ago, and it was fucking great. Very technical, very good. Bolt Thrower is alright. I hate Cannibal Corpse with a passion. The other bands are mediocre (to me). I'll stick with Opeth and Suffocation

    The next Opeth?

I know I'm pushing it here... But when do you think the next Opeth release will come? I mean, in 6 years, they have released 5 albums, so it's not like they are a type of band to take long ass breaks between records. I'd say we'll probably see something from them by the end of 2002.

A question, or a bit of research if you like...

    Favourite Opeth Moments

Cool thread. ADVENT ADVENT ADVENT in its entirety. I cannot stress enough how great this song is. In "Black Rose Immortal" when he starts with "Sunbirds leave their dark recesses" and all the way through to "...still so precious" The first two verses of "To Bid You Farewell"...

    Ureleased Tracks?

How the heck can ya say production doesn't matter, or isn't important? I don't care how good a song is, if it sounds like shit because of the production, then that totally ruins the experience. Look at Machine Head's "The Burning Red". That record could have been huge. But Ross...

How do you feel about "best of" albums?

No way. Not a fan of Greatest Hits CD's at all. How can a record company decide what the band's Greatest Hits were... when bands like Opeth don't even have "hits"? Exactly. They can't. So it would be up to them and they would probably fuck it up.
