Logo description- do you know what band it belongs to?

Thanks for the suggestion, but it wasn't it. I'm pretty sure the band started with an "O" (but since it was difficult to read I could be wrong). Also, there were probably only 6 or so letters.

Logo description- do you know what band it belongs to?

I was at a thrift store tonight and came across a band shirt that is probably belonging to a black metal band. I couldn't read it, but it was a single word, and had a tree directly above the band name. So, anyone know of band logos with a tree directly above the name??

Want input on list of essential Basic listening: Death Metal

I'm keeping Seven Churches for the historical significance. and they can kind of represent that early very thrashy segment.

Want input on list of essential Basic listening: Death Metal

It's essentials in order to get a general lay of the death metal land. I AM trying to streamline it though, hence posting this thread.

Want input on list of essential Basic listening: Death Metal

Skipping out on Sepultura, Kreator, Massacra and the like for the thrashiness. Taking out Ripping Corpse for the same reason. Excluding Hypocrisy, Benediction, and Dying Fetus seem fair for a basics list. I'm considering taking out Disembowelment as well. I want to keep 2 Death albums; after...

Want input on list of essential Basic listening: Death Metal

I'm trying to develop a list for Basic death metal essentials. Please don't include anything melodic death, doom/death or symphonic unless it had a big impact on the death metal genre as a whole. So what bands or albums are missing? Should anything be excluded? Possessed: Seven Churches...

    Controversial opinions on metal

That one other guy understands: aggressiveness and heaviness are two different things, though they have similarities. I think pretty much all death metal is "heavier" than Iowa, but to me Iowa conveys a rush of raw agggression much better than about 70% of the death metal i've had the pleasure...

What music are you ashamed to say you listen to ?

I'm a bit uncomfortable to admit to thoroughly enjoying these songs on my ipod: - that one "witch doctor" song (you know, ooh eeh ooh ah ah, ting tang walla walla bing bang) - Backstabber by Kesha - that nyan cat tune - The Secret Life by Will Hyler, ripped off the youtube video haha!

    Controversial opinions on metal

I don't like Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Judas Priest, or Dio. Folk metal is THE meaningful metal movement of the 00's. The Black album is excellent. Elvenking's The Scythe is excellent. Slipknot's Iowa is more aggressive and intense than most death metal. And it's a...
