That's the shitty thing- it was sold voluntarily. Apparently the owners thought it wasn't profitable enough. If it really was in financial trouble, the community probably would have rallied and raised money - Dallas can be supportive of cultural places on occasion.

I don't know if any of you are from Dallas or have heard about this. The Bronco Bowl - a 40 year old Dallas landmark and home of the Canyon Club, one of the premiere metal venues in the area - had been sold to developers who will build a fucking HOME DEPOT!!! argh. Our lovely mayor, Laura...

could someone do a review, maybe even song-by-song of Symbol of Salvation. I know a lot of guys on the board know next to nothing about the Saint but are interested. Any band comparisons for the drums, guitars etc?

I'm a great fan of John Bush's work with Anthrax, and have meant to check out Armored Saint for ever. Is Symbol of Salvation a good entry point, or should I start with something else?

ah man, you're right - this summer will my first for metal concerts, starting off with Motorhead/Anthrax.... and two nights later, the 2003 Metal God's Tour!!!!! Halford and Testament!!! ahhhh yeah! Dallas is a good town for metal : )

damn, that's some hard shit guys. I just turned 19, and suffered some of that crap only recently. Clubs are getting more and more hardass about age limits - just stay hard about it, and you'll eventually get in.
