    Opeth album sales

Considering the length of time over which Opeth has sold albums, they probably have made very little money per member from album sales. Remember artist royalties on album sales are shocking, no matter if you are Opeth or U2. If Opeth are getting more than US$2-3 per sale, I would be surprised...

what does your girlfriend/wife think of you listening to opeth

My wife listens to Celine Dion and John Denver. Enough said really.

What if Opeth had 3 guitar players

Apparently Per is a pretty mean shredder. So, if you wanted another guitar player, there is already one in the band.

    Video interview Mikael

I think what is clear from the interview is the sort of pressure that Mike is under in leading the band and providing the finished songs to the band for recording. He was frank and refreshingly so. It may be fun to go and play with your mates, but when the stakes are higher (in that it is also...

    Watershed Released

It's not on the US store, but Australia, UK and of course Sweden have it available now amongst others. I think this means that the album is out. Of course, US buyers can get it now from 7digital.com if you purchase via PayPal (not CC). Australian buyers too. This is where I got it from.

    Watershed Released

The Roundhouse Tapes came out via digital download about a week before the physical release as well.

    Watershed Released

Hiya, Looks like the album is available for download now from ITunes (Aus) in 192kbps drm mp3 - don't know about the other ITunes stores - or from 7digital.com in 256 kbps no drm mp3. The album sounds great. Congratulations to the band.

    Stupid question

To the OP, it depends on which autumn you mean. I don't know how it is in the northern hemisphere (grim in the far north - or at least Blackpool) I would imagine :), but I can say that in Sydney Australia it has been absolutely glorious. Nice blue skies and mild temperatures.

    Song titles from Watershed

I dunno. It could be a reference to obscure 70s bands (I wasn't born until 72). My wife might know as she is older than me, but she only listens to Steeleye Span and Meatloaf. Crap AFAIK. Though I did grow up listening to bands like Camel, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple thanks to my siblings. My...

Ghost Reveries appreciation thread *FUCKING DOT*

I think that Ghost Reveries is a great album. Was the first Opeth record I heard. Love all of their other albums too.

    Lotus Eater Lyrics

I have a felling that the line: Crops they were sold to die should be Crops they were sown to die (makes a nice visual metaphor too) Great work getting all the words out though.

    Porcelain Heart

Somehow I doubt that. ITunes US does not list it and Amazon.com (US) says April 22.

    Porcelain Heart

From my reading it would seem that Opeth's Porcelain Heart is not yet available through Amazon.com's mp3 store. April 22 is the date they list. Happy to be corrected if not true.
