There are stacks of songs out there with Lovecraftian influence that I love, even if it is just based on the lyrical content.

:rock: tägtgren, Åkerfeldt and vocalists from swallow the sun, naglfar and vehemence go alright. edit: some of the double-tracked vocals from behemoth, too.

vehemence is one i forgot to mention. wow, i guess they're slightly brutal.

FT is definitely in my top 5 bands, they absolutely pwn to the shithouse. Extremely good, all three albums.

Bathory is probably the most popular band on UM, disregarding maybe Iron Maiden and that lot, I'd say. Atheist is well-respected here too, and personally I nearly idolise the members of Necrophagist for their pure skill. I think it's the general consensus that Suffocation is one of the top 5...
