Memphis May Fire - The Victim | Crits/Mastering Advice

Most likely slams it at a high ratio as his main limiter. Doing a small bit of clipping into a limiter, into another clipper doing a bit more is great. Loudness is important after all.

Use stock samples in your daw and just replace them with slate trigger in the meantime.

Memphis May Fire - The Victim | Crits/Mastering Advice

So from top to bottom we have : EQ EQ + Gate + Compressor Reverb Multiband Compressor Widener Clipper Compressor/Limiter MaxxBass Clipper That is actually not too excessive and seems pretty normal considering each plugin may not doing that much work. It seems he has multiple compressors all...

Anyone up for a mixing challenge? Rock/Grunge

A few things would make this track sound MILES better other than just a mix. Proper tracking/editing is definitely something I would say to review. Learn to crossfade your takes so there aren't all those sloppy/choppy transitions, and be more careful to not chop off any of the transients in...

Why do people think the Axe Fx 2 is worth the money? (TSE vs. Axe FX)

There is no mixing on any of this (outside of amp sim plugins) except for the drums haha.

Why do people think the Axe Fx 2 is worth the money? (TSE vs. Axe FX)

I have never really understood why people buy Axe Fx 2's for studio use or better yet, why they enjoy them. I have had multiple friends with the Axe Fx and have never really heard them get any stellar tones with it. However, everyone seems to tell me I'm full of shit and that an Axe Fx is on...

Faded Grey - Metalcore from Michigan NEEDS HELP with MIX!

The raw tracks are definitly well recorded. This could be mixed well so easily damn....Tell your producer to not cut as much low end out of the guitar, beef up the kick drum. The toms legit have more body than the kick. Also a strong bass tone would help this a ton. Ugh i really wish i was mixing...

Born of Osiris is giving away stems for their song "MCHINE"

LOL at anyone hating on this mix, best production to ever happen to Born of Osiris. Of course joey fucking sturgis is going to have unnatural guitar tones.
